Privacy Notice
What we collect on this site, why, and how you stay in control. In plain language.
Last updated 1 October 2026
1. Who we are
This website, everythingwill.be/ok (including its Italian and Ukrainian pages), presents the book Everything Will Be OK by Alex Fox. The data controller is Factory FZE, Sharjah Publishing City, United Arab Emirates, the book’s publisher.
For anything about your data, write to [email protected]. This is the only contact address for the book.
2. What we collect
- Messages you send us. The contact, corporate, UAmbassadors and Resilience Wall forms open your own email app with your entries filled in (name, email, organisation, message, story and similar). We receive what you choose to send, like any other email.
- Sign-ups. When you leave your email to hear about the launch, retailer availability, the newsletter or Chapter 16 access, we receive your email address and any name you add. These forms are processed by our website hosting provider’s form service on our behalf.
- SofiIA chat. The SofiIA demo on the SofiIA page runs entirely in your browser. It matches your question against answers written in advance. Your messages are not sent to us or to any AI provider, and they are not stored. They disappear when you close or reload the page.
- Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider handles your IP address, browser type and the pages you request so that the site can be delivered and protected. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address.
- Country check. The home page asks ipapi.co for your country code (based on your IP address) only to decide whether to show solidarity pricing. We do not store the result.
- Settings in your browser. We save small preferences in your browser’s local storage, for example that you closed the language suggestion banner, and your cookie choice.
3. Analytics and advertising tools
To understand how the site is used and to promote the book, our pages include:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google): visits, pages viewed, approximate location, device.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling and session replays, with text typed into forms masked by default.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms): page views and actions such as “view content” or “contact”, to measure and target ads on Facebook and Instagram.
- TikTok Pixel (TikTok): page views and actions, to measure and target ads on TikTok.
- Pinterest Tag (Pinterest): page views and actions, to measure and target ads on Pinterest.
These tools set cookies or similar identifiers. We rely on your consent for them, and the cookie banner lets you accept or refuse. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser, which brings the banner back. You can also use each provider’s own settings and opt-out tools, such as the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or the ad preferences in your Meta, TikTok and Pinterest accounts.
4. Buying the book
We do not sell the book on this site and we never see your payment details. When you buy on Amazon or another store, that store handles your order and your data under its own privacy policy. If you contact us about a corporate package or a special edition, we use your details only to answer and, if you go ahead, to fulfil the order.
5. Why we use your data (legal bases)
- Consent: analytics and advertising cookies, and newsletter or launch emails. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Contract, or steps before one: handling orders, corporate packages, events and UAmbassadors sign-ups you ask for.
- Legitimate interest: answering your messages, keeping the site secure and running, and keeping basic records of our correspondence.
- Legal obligation: where the law requires us to keep certain records.
6. How long we keep it
- Emails and form messages: up to 24 months after our last exchange, longer only if we have an ongoing relationship or a legal reason.
- Sign-ups and newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address.
- Analytics and advertising data: kept by each provider under its retention settings. Where we can choose, we pick the shortest practical period (no more than 14 months).
- Browser preferences: they stay in your browser until you clear them.
7. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run the site and our communications (hosting and form handling, email, and the analytics and advertising providers named above), and with authorities if the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
8. International transfers
Factory FZE is based in the United Arab Emirates, and several of our providers (Google, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, Pinterest) process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards recognised by data-protection law, such as adequacy decisions (including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where a provider is certified) or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong (rectification);
- have it deleted (erasure);
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to direct marketing at any time;
- ask for restriction of processing;
- receive your data in a portable format (portability);
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what happened before;
- complain to a data-protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
10. Children
This site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes
If we change how we handle data, for example by connecting SofiIA to a live AI service or adding a new tool, we will update this page and the date at the top.
